Join our 7 month study on the body's amazing energy system known as the 'Chakras'. Using the book, 'The Chakras & Their Archetypes' by Ambiku Wauters and the energy of the Full Moon as a guide, we will explore and balance a chakra each month beginning with the Root energy...... using discussion, sound, ritual & meditation. Guest speakers & practitioners will also join us from time to time.
Books may be purchased thru the store at a 20% discount off the cover price or online as desired. Books will be available during the first class and we will begin with the Root Chakra in June. Please read thru to the end of the Root chakra chapter prior to June's class.

In this class, we will explore how our energy systems develop during childhood, and how energy shapes the physical body, as well as the common ways energy gets blocked in defense of painful experiences. These blocks can eventually manifest as physical pain, chronic negative images and patterns of behavior and disease. We will also learn some simple healing techniques that we can use to heal our own wounding or to assist our children or other family members stuck in a defensive pattern.
The class will be both instructional and experiential, utilizing meditative practices, visualization, intention setting, affirmations, etc. Through this work, we not only heal ourselves, but learn how to best support our children and others on their soul paths.
Some of the topics we’ll be exploring:
•Development of a healthy energy system
•How defensive patterns develop
•Common defensive patterns which occur during childhood in response to negative experiences
•The five fears (fear of physical danger, abandonment, invasion, betrayal and imperfection) and how they relate to soul development
•How to recognize a defensive pattern in ourselves and others, as well as techniques for dropping out of the pattern
At the end of each class, there will also be time for answering specific questions for parents with young children and the challenges you may be facing
This will be a five day class (one class per month), with time between classes to practice the techniques and return with questions. No prior experience or knowledge is required, although you will be asked to spend some time reading, meditating or working on some other exercise between classes.
Classes will be held at Sleeping Dragon Farm, a private residence, located 2 miles from Crossroads Gallery. (Note for those with allergies: This house does have pets.)
